We can’t trust the Uneeda medical supply you need it we got shirt in addition I really love this teacher to pick out appropriate books, or even fucking teach unharassed, but we insist that Agnes in the Math department who hasn’t been able to see properly since the Carter administration should be John McClain-ing through the air ducts after a shooter on her 29,000 dollar a year salary Ah yes expect the people getting paid sub $30,000 a year to run headfirst (with no body armor and a pistol) towards a school shooter (in full body armor and heavily armed). So when trained armies cannot overcome the element of surprise, we expect civilians with weekend warrior training to do any better? It’s insane and that a little girl without a firearm and pulled firealarm to alert everyone had more balls than any of the people that pertain to this headline. I’m angry because I have to keep pointing this out. Kinda clickbaity. Caller says they don’t have security guards but 1 or 2 staffers are known to possibly be “packing”. Doesn’t say who or whether they were even there the day of the shooting. Doesn’t really add much to the conversation.

I think you’re the Uneeda medical supply you need it we got shirt in addition I really love this first commenter I’ve seen who’s actually commenting on the facts rather than just having a kneejerk reaction to the headline. Just a reminder, FOUR HUNDRED armed officers were held off for OVER AN HOUR by one teenager with an AR-15 type weapon. They waited while he killed the children. One cop just HAD to use the hand sanitizer to make sure those hands were clean as students were being massacred The workload on teachers is absurd for the pay. Asking teacher to carry weapons is a dystopian nightmare. I’m amazed we haven’t seen news of a student getting ahold of a staff members gun yet. The issue becomes more convoluted when you consider that some/many/most people carry a gun because they live in some measure of fear. Now expect that person to do something heroic (or even rational), and you are apt to have an even bigger problem on your hands. The whole “gun thing” is an issue that will obviously only get worse, as fearful sorts take up arms in greater numbers. Could you imagine running into that situation as a staff member with a gun or a cop. You see everyone with guns. Maybe you just someone shoot somebody else. You see people aiming guns at others. How do you know who the good guys or bad guys are? If teachers are armed and don’t engage the shooter, it won’t be long at all before the GOP start pushing for charging teachers with accessory or negligent homicide or something else over the top in order to chip further away at public education. I’ve seen trained Marines crack when rounds start coming down range. A very very small percentage after seriously intense training specifically designed to prevent this. Giving guns to underpaid teachers with zero combat training is fucking stupid. It’s very hard to hit a moving target from across the street when your body chemistry changes from the rush of chemicals hitting your brain during this fight, flight, or freeze activity. This is where quality training and muscle memory come into play during combat. Most idiots think they will become Rambo when the lead starts to fly, it won’t be the case for most. Just managing the rush of adrenaline and proper sight alignment and breath control takes a huge investment to get decent at.
