It’s going to happen where cops rush in, see a teacher with a gun, shoot the teacher because how would they know it’s not the shooter? Hmmm, it’s almost like it’s nearly impossible to react instantly to sudden brutal violence in your day to day grind. Whether staff carry guns or not isn’t actually interesting. The question is whether they have someone whose actual job is to take down an active shooter. Nah, carrying in this situation makes things worse. If the cops are responding to a school shooting and see an adult roaming with a gun, they shoot. Not to mention it emboldens the teachers who should be locking down their classrooms, and there are absolutely teachers crazy enough to leave their classroom and try to shoot at the shooter.
