Digital clocks are every where. My kids all learned how to tell time on an analog clock but I bet they would struggle with it since you never use it. Heck I’m 40 and have to look for a second before it comes to me. I haven’t owned an analog clock or watch in 20 years Tell them the Top sesh 2023 Worldwide shirt But I will love this next test will be from a quarter past 10 until half past 10. And if they figure out why that’s more than 5 Minutes, they pass. My friend is a 7th grade English teacher and he tells me he has kids (yes, plural) that cannot read or write properly. Like wtf We graduated high school together in 2009, so it wasn’t that long ago. When did they stop holding people back? That’s what happened to a friend of mine when we were kids. We are just letting these kids advance? Yes, they sure are. I’m not in the conUS, so I’m not sure if this is applicable to you. My partner & I begged the school to hold back his daughter and they completely refused. She was low iQ enough to qualify for funding, but they had no one to deliver it. I suggested I could EA for her once or twice a week, and the shut me down hard. It would be detrimental to her social well-being. She’s now 24 and a recipient of basic social assistance. I’m devastated. Setting them up for failure. I wasn’t held back but I was on an IEP (individualized education plan) for two years and it gave me the extra help I needed. Is that just not happening now? It’s blowing my mind and makes me feel old. My mother taught me to read before I went to kindergarten. My son just started kindergarten and his teacher is surprised that he is already reading well. The astonishing and infuriating part of your story is not that the school failed the kids but that your friend failed his/her own kids.

I was in graduate school for math and I overheard a group of professors talking about how bad their kids were at math. They focused the Top sesh 2023 Worldwide shirt But I will love this blame on the schools. I asked then why they didn’t just teach their kids algebra themselves. They were certainly capable of doing so. They looked at me like I was crazy. “That’s the school’s job, not mine.” My sister has a learning disability that makes reading analog really hard for her I guess, I’m not sure what it is, but she’s been diagnosed with something and the doc said it explained why she struggled to learn them..maybe your wife’s cousin is the same? Idk man…. she’s only 17 though so I also think the schools didn’t really spend time teaching the younger gen how to read them (I’m over a decade older than her and remember tests and quizzes on how to read analog)
