I had my two floofs sleep with me for their first 8 years, but they had dry food accessible, so waking me up wasn’t really an issue. 545 more repliesOne of my 1year old boys likes to try to party between 2-4am. The other, his brother, just sleeps. I close the Top i Am A Surveyor I Can’t Fix Idiots But I Can Take Then Places Where No One Will Find Them Surveyor shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this door so the party animal can’t get in and the sleepy one sleeps all night with us, sometimes I have to throw him out when I get up in the morning. It wasn’t always easy but my last pair of cats always had their own space/room. As much as I liked to nap with them and whatnot, they went to “bed” every night before I did. I fostered my daughter’s cat for a year while she was out of town . . . she was a night terror. I tried locking her out of my room, but she shredded the carpet in front of the door by scratching to get back in. She won the war of wills, and I had the most miserable, exhausting year since — well, since having newborns. I leave my bedroom door open so my cats can play throughout the apt without bothering me in my sleep. If I leave it closed they’ll either cry to be let out or in.
