Probably not exactly. I’ve lived in many different cities on both east coast and west coast. I’ve met people in my building that I avoid like the fucking plague and some that have ended up being my true best friends. My usual mantra at this point is “the more people I meet, the more I like my dog”. I felt the same way, but as I grew older (around mid-20s right now), I realise that in real friendship, the most regular get togethers are gonna be weekly or fortnightly. But you might not be satisfied with that level of interaction. Regular interaction is more natural if you do a shared interest, perhaps join a sport club? In short: the type of friendship in those sitcoms is in my opinion, not realistic and pretty rare. In real life, those characters would probably meet weekly or fortnightly.

I haven’t found it to be very realistic in my life (scheduling things is difficult with varied schedules and everyone keeps moving away!) My boyfriend has a group of friends similar to that though. He’s 35 but he meets up with his friends twice a week for pickle ball and then dinner afterwards, and at least once or twice on the To Willow From Hunter Christmas Owl House shirt in other words I will buy this weekends to drink and hang out.
