That is wild! I haven’t explored pride in the To The Stars Tic Tac Comic By Thomas Tenney Shirt In addition,I will do this bigger cities yet, but that’s what I hear when it comes to how expensive these things can be! Spokane doesn’t really do anything like that, if anything there’s a door charge, but I’m usually there early enough to avoid it lol as long as I order food/drink. As much as we love the mainstreaming of Drag, in many ways the show has made life much, much, much more difficult for regional Queens. I’m already planning the prides and shows I’ll be attending over the next two months. I’ll luckily get to be in both Vancouver and Toronto this year for celebrations. I’ve definitely noticed that (like everything) the ticket prices are higher than previous years, which is to be expected. I’m just surprised at $50 cover for a small and short show. Either way, I’m just flapping my gums. It’s not like I won’t be there and having a blast! I just hope that the performers are seeing a significant raise to match ticket increases.

Also, if anything, watching drag live instead of on TV is such a fun experience! I watched drag race before I was old enough to go to bars and the To The Stars Tic Tac Comic By Thomas Tenney Shirt In addition,I will do this difference was so huge, I massively prefer going to local drag when I have the opportunity I generally avoid going to drag shows the weekend of the pride festival where I live because they bring in THE biggest drag queens and the events are PACKED with drunk cis white women. And I love that for them…but I’ll go to a drag show with mostly local talent in April or August instead. YES to all of this! And not just it because it benefits them (which is very important), because it will benefit you. I love drag so much more since getting to know my local scene. It’s just so much more real and emotional and vibrant when you’re experiencing it up close like that. And local artists are often the most courageous when it comes to experimental or political concepts, or even just getting weird. Last week I saw a queen dip doritos she pulled from her dress into a dipping tray on her belt. The week before a king did a song about coming out to religious parents that made me straight up cry.
