Public pressure very much matters. SCOTUS is a political, law-making body. It makes law (“judge-made law” or “common law”) through opinions which become precedent, or which overturn previous precedent. And “originalism,” “textualism,” and “stare decisis” only mean something for so long, until our justices really just don’t want to follow their own rules anymore, then they are happy to change the Thor love and thunder god of shirt But I will love this law on some new theory. It’s all a legal fiction. What judges really care about is balancing their desire for the appearance of impartiality, the pursuit of their own political ideologies, their desire to be admired by the public, and their desire to be remembered well in posterity. Only once those needs are met to they sit down and try to figure out a legal theory that will get them to their conclusion.

I’ll never understand why people think it’s better for a state to infringe on someone’s rights than it is for the Thor love and thunder god of shirt But I will love this federal government to protect that right. Elitist minority are ruling Americans, democrats have failed to protect us as fat republicans get fatter declaring war on Americans. Protest Garland and Biden’s house, they say they care, republicans don’t. I can’t imagine protesting outside somebody’s house is going to make any difference probably actually harden them in their resolve. The time to have had this anger thousand people wide on the streets was when Donald Trump was running for election and I like others were saying this is where the line in the Sand is and this is the fight not because it’s Donald or Hillary or anybody else but rather if the GOP gets in office they will stack the supreme Court to the right. But so few would listen no no no it’s all about personality and noise and garbage in the moment remember the release of the Hillary emails at the last moment. That was Paramount and everybody’s mind not the danger that the supreme Court would slip into the hands of the right no no no so now 6 years later is all the prophecies have come true it’s oh my God how did that happen. Yeah. 41% of white millennials voted for Donald Trump go figure. And I wonder if you ask them at the exit pole do they think a woman has a right to her body but they would have answered? Yeah but voted to the extreme right and this is just a tiny tip of the iceberg of what’s coming for the next 15 years. Yeah 15 or 20 years because you can’t just change the supreme Court and unfortunately I think the Democrats are going to lose the grip on power. The far right has played the chess game very very well and played all of the idiot Independence who think that their vote actually counts as an independent to get quagmired in the noise the flag waving and the seemingly mired politics of Washington. People never see the larger larger picture of decades but only the noise of the moment can help it seems so little gets done. But this is exactly how it gets done in the Republicans know it the American Taliban knows how to do it. You pick away and you put the most instrumental pieces of the construction place. The supreme Court that’s the checkmate now you go back to the legislators and ask them to start putting a crazy wild laws in place because the supreme Court will defend them. Yeah now everybody’s getting woke once the horse is out of the barn
