Not really related to nicknames, but when I went to secondary school there was me and another Steve in the This Is Fine Everythings Fine Pluto Christmas 2023 shirt in addition I really love this same class. My mate is referred to as “green loaf” which is in reference to Warburtons extra thick bread. We also liked to say they were ‘super toastie’! We’ve got one too! I’d never heard it before but it’s what one of my staff have named a particularly trying apprentice right now who they called 007, 0 motivation 0 effort 7 minutes of actual work done. I had a mate we used to call the disco hobbit, and then eventually we started calling him Middle earth wind and fire Aww cmon! That’s amazing! Can’t leave us hanging for the story! I know it’s probably because he was small and liked to dance, but cmon We had two ladies with the same name in our WI, so to differentiate, they are Vera Hedgehog and Vera Patchwork.

Lad at school was called minty because he once had a green biro, and it exploded in his mouth because he was chewing it. I also called the This Is Fine Everythings Fine Pluto Christmas 2023 shirt in addition I really love this manager Roomba, because he’d walk purposefully in straight lines until he hit a desk, looked up from his paperwork/phone, recalibrate and then carry on. He will happily regurgitate other people’s stories as if it was his own, hang about the office instead of working on the shopfloor just so he can chime in on whatever conversation is happening, make legitimately impossible claims (once claimed to run a marathon in a pace that equated to under 4 minute/mile) When I was at school, a lad called Ryan was being an absolute nobhead to me. My mate responded by throwing half his can of Irn Bru over him. At the pub I used to work at there was an old fella in a blue coat who liked collecting glasses and plates, he spent most of his time in the pub after his wife died and longed for a purpose. Some of the more uptight members of staff thought this made us look lazy and didn’t like him doing it. Me and one of the younger managers nicknamed him “Noo-Noo” because he wore blue and people got pissed off at him for tidying up. Whenever a certain person on a power trip got wound up about it, we’d shout “naughty Noo-Noo!” My (future) father-in-law called all his daughter’s boyfriends “Henry”, to save him having to remember who was who. The first time he called me by my actual name (which isn’t Henry) I knew the family were taking me seriously as son-in-law material. Been married 33 years now – f-i-l sadly passed a while back but I now call my daughters’ various bfs Henry in happy memory.
