Well yes but things are weird or made in China or something. My new kettle – less than 3 months old – tripped the This girls love her tweety bird shirt it is in the first place but mains twice but I didn’t realise it was the kettle doing it till the 2nd time and only then did a friend notice the lead was half melted. Did the fuse go? No the fuse was solid. Solid shit. The toaster has an electrical fault. Tripped the fusebox because it’s a ground fault rather than short circuit. While the disk format setback is annoying, I guess I really should be more grateful that I didn’t get electrocuted this morning. The other option is that they are meant to just stick the sticker on the broken item and put them all in a huge box/sack to send to Amazon en masse. Apparently Amazon only offer Evri returns if it’s something knackered that will result in a refund

Decided to go into Central London today to visit the This girls love her tweety bird shirt it is in the first place but British Museum. It opens at 11, so we got there at about 20 past that. Huuuge crowds of people and tourists were already outside, and then a couple of officials with megaphones tell us the museum is closed. There was nothing on the website to indicate this yesterday, but it’s now been updated to say that it’ll be closed for a week due to industrial action. Fucking food poisoning! Arrggh! 2 days lost to vomit and liquid shit! Unlucky Tesco microwave meal was the temp of a volcano all throughout but it didn’t stop the flow of sick up my gullet and out my chuffing nose (and mouth) at 1am until 3am. Sounds like it’s more likely a viral problem tbh. Norovirus is everywhere right now. People assume it’s food poisoning and then go right out again/back to work as soon as they feel better, or don’t take precautions at home, and end up spreading it to more people. Hope you feel better soon though matey. Take it easy. My tip: miso soup is the best for post-illness recuperation.
