So off to the Evri packageless parcel shop. Use the machine to print label, bring label and item to counter as per instructions. Get extensively verbally abused by the shop owner who refuses to package it, calls me stupid and repeatedly questions where I went to school. Errrr, at the risk of doxxing myself…I am severely overeducated. But why go there? Fortunately manage to get the toaster onto the van with a sympathetic driver. We shall see if it ever makes it…and if a refund happens…and if/when we’ll have a working toaster again. But what an excessively angry and horrible man. It’s been such a long day/week/month/year/forever. Just trying to progress one small thing before the next thing derails it. Who has the energy for all that aggression? I barely have energy for complaining. Apparently the retailer should have a supply of Amazon bags to stick the “package less” returns into, and you’re out of luck if they have run out of the things. At the very least I would have haphazardly wrapped the toaster in a plastic bag and sellotaped it ip.
