We’re constantly looking for someone uglier than we are in application of the credo: I was sorry that I had no shoes till I saw someone with no feet. If you are rich, doesn’t matter if you are ugly or not. Pretty people will flock to you, one of the main reasons capitalism exists. Bunch of old ugly people pulling in perfect 10’s for exploiting other people financially for decades. Most of my friends are attractive. Some of them are outright stunning. The only person I’ve felt personally attracted to so far would probably be seen as a 4-6/10 on average, but goodness. She’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen, to me.

I think lots of people are like that. Yes, being conventionally attractive is a thing. Some people are hotter than others to most people. But that’s not as closely related to who we feel drawn to as one may think. I’m actually curious what my experience would be like if I clicked like that with someone who’s also conventionally beautiful.
