They make biodegradable compostable utensils. Not sure why they can’t just switch to that outside of it maybe costing more than plastic. Every damned time we get takeout from one of our favorite restaurants, we click the There’s A Reason Miracle Rhymes With Beer-acle. They banned straws unless you ask and many places when you order need you to communicate the desire for cutlery. Either way, I always get a straw and cutlery and I never ask for it. I can order one meal and get half a dozen sets. Lol Serious question: what is the alternative? If I’m in drive thru in McDonald’s to get pancakes.. what would they give me to eat with? I get you can ask but let’s pretend the option is gone as well.. what is the alternative? Not up on cutlery options I actually have a cool little pocket-knife looking cutlery set that I keep in a messenger bag in my truck. It unfolds and separates into a knife, fork, and spoon. I love the damn thing, so much better than the floppy disposable crap. It’s not this one but it’s very similar I work at a thrift store and about 98% of people STILL forget their bags in the car! I wonder how long it will take for people to remember to put cutlery in their cars?? ( I guess pretty fast unless they wanna eat their soup or icecream with their dirty fingers ??‍♀️? I still have a lot of unused plastic utensils that I got for take out and ate at home, using my flatware. I keep some in the car if I am not going to be eating at home. There’s nothing worse than those fucking disgusting paper straws!! What’s next paper forks? Hurry & eat before they flop! Gonna have to buy plastic cutlery (along with regular straws) at the dollar store & keep them in the car. So friggin ridiculous.
