Is it a known thing that videos with a sponsored bit will perform badly? The retention graph shows a crater during the The Vegan Monster The Fiend Shirt moreover I will buy this sponsored bit (which I pretty much expected), but despite that my AVD is barely lower than normal. I’d expect it to affect the algorithm a little, but nowhere near this much. The sponsored videos are in the same style as everything else I do sans the sponsored ad, so it’s not because I tried to fix something that wasn’t broken. Is this normal? I really do feel like I’m failing my sponsor and that after two back-to-back flops they won’t be interested in working together again. One thing I noticed was that you introduced the ad within the first minute of the video. As a non Destiny player who just stumbled upon the video, I’d leave the video. My guess is your AVD remains consistent because of the loyalty from your audience, but that the group outside of that did not survive past the ad.

It’s also Raid Shadow Legends which IS such a meme at this point – get creative with it and make jokes. I genuinely think it is difficult to convert viewers to a mobile game, so don’t approach it as a means to convert. Just make the The Vegan Monster The Fiend Shirt moreover I will buy this ad spot entertaining and people will end up watching through it (Vs skipping) and perhaps the conversions will come. Overall I believe the entertainment value, even if it’s an ad or product that isn’t yours, should remain paramount in a video and perhaps this is an area to work in for future videos. Also dude, congrats on building your channel. You’re in a great spot and I’m sure there’s only more to come for you! Best of luck. For the timing of the ad, I put it immediately after the intro so that I wouldn’t have to interrupt the actual meat of the build guide. But thinking about what you said, it might actually be better to put it a little later. I’d need to get much more creative with transitioning into the ad, but I do feel like this could be much better if done well. I was allowed a window extending to a few minutes into the video so that does give quite a bit of flexibility. Anytime! And yes, I’d agree in giving the viewer a decent chunk of the video they are entitled to before bringing in the ad! Truly man, best of luck – these are great issues to have and solve for.
