Its not all. Just some kids use their parents as a free ride so they dont have to work. However, if you want your child to grow up and become adult, you need to stop treating them as a child. Many adults never grow up because they’re babysitted by their parents. Because most people who have kids shouldn’t , because they are still children themselves when they have them, age of creating the child irrelevant. Hence, we have most , unable or unwilling to parent properly. How many times do you say, “ these people shouldn’t have had kids”. The underlying reasons are beyond the scope of your post. I am Korean (raised in US) and even to this day, I dont get it with American about THIS. Your kids are still yours kids after they are 18. Its your decision too have sex, it shouldnt be a job or a burden that you had a child. If you dont want have kids, make better decisions in your life …. We don’t. My kids are welcome to return home after college…especially if it enables them to save up a lot more money for a home, retirement, etc. A lot of Americans grew up being traumatized and abused by their parents because of the culture they grew up in. People were trained that they need to be “punished” for their “sins” and they were also trained to believe that kids’ misbehavior means that they’re “bad kids.” Very little knowledge on how to openly communicate and solve problems with their kids. This resulted in damaged emotional bonds between parents and children and created parents with low emotional intelligence. Thus, parents don’t enjoy being parents and they look forward to having their kid leave the house.

Some of us were “mistakes” My mom moved away as soon as I finished high school. Been grinding my way thru life ever since.. A country of misfits that’s origin is taking what they want even by force while trying to paint itself as a hero of sorts. People embrace that here.
