It is only a deterrent. It would make a psychological barrier at best, but a mass shooter is going to mass shoot. They know they are soon going to be a target for countless barrels; school teachers with minimum training are just +1 level compared to their actual targets. This was never even a remote practical solution, the The Golden Girls Art shirt so you should to go to store and get this farce police response at uvalde was a clear example. The solution has always been less guns and will always be. We can’t keep claiming these are mentally ill people. In the videos they seem pretty normal to me. There’s a bigger issue at play in America. I don’t know what it is, but this is literally a recurring issue! Lots of speculation on something that is known speculation. Gotta love it. I’ll wait until something is confirmed.

Isn’t it against the The Golden Girls Art shirt so you should to go to store and get this law to have a gun on school property in TN aside from SROs.I’m not sure how it is on church property interfaces with school laws? Are they considered a charter school? No, private schools and charter schools are not the same thing. I think charter schools have to follow public school rules and are part of public school districts. None of that is true for private schools. They also allowed two public districts decide if they wanted to arm teachers or not, both districts chose not to, but they might expand this option to all districts. Edit- oh and in addition to resource officers, schools can hire armed off duty cops as well according to that giffords link. And it still didn’t stop the shooting from happening??? Must’ve not been any good staff members to stop the bad guy. if it was legal I would absolutely carry a handgun. but that’s just for self defense if i get backed into a corner. if you want me to be a hero you gotta let me carry body armor and a bigger gun. I imagine the two maybe imaginary teachers with a gun in this scenario were thinking along those exact same lines. also even if you are military trained, running into an active shooter situation with a gun is a terrible idea. hand guns are just a last line of defense not a solution. (although i imagine if every teacher had a handgun would definitely be a strong defense.)
