People are going to abuse the The Golden Elite Change The World Shirt besides I will buy this system. The wealthy class is doing that all the time and constantly rubbing it in our noses – and yet you’re mad at the people buying smokes and sneakers. Jobs pay <1.3x the poverty line and someone has to work them. Higher wages would massively reduce the number of people on SNAP. I'm not saying welfare is useless or a scam, however why are families on housing and food assistance INDEFINITELY? It is not free money, it is extremely difficult to get. It is money that people pay into specifically for this reason. I took advantage of EBT for 2 months when I needed it. Then I didn't and got off it. I'm not still on it using the money for cigarettes. So you were fortunate enough to not be systematically oppressed? Good for you, 1 month-old account that spouts GOP talking points. Or they could improve/apply themselves and get a better job… minimum wage jobs are meant for new workers (teens), not as careers. Imagine if all fast food, grocery stores, and other minimum wage jobs were run only by teenagers. Only 18 and 19 year Olds wouldn't have to abide by minor working laws. So everyone else 16 and up (14 if you have a working permit) has to work limited hours with extra breaks. Nothing after 11 pm. You now have to hire twice as many employees to be able to cover the shift times and ensure that you aren't being sued for overworking them or not providing breaks at the EXACT time the break needs to be given. You can't sell any alcohol, especially open drinks or drinks to be consumed in the establishment. You can't sell cigarettes either. Your store is likely closed until 3 pm bc all of your employees are in school, so everyone has to shop between 3 to 11 which means grocery lines are 5x longer and stores would likely have to have lines just for entry to avoid overcrowding and fire code breach. Also you don't get that hamburger on your lunchbreak bc there is no one there to make it for you. Companies suddenly loose out on over half of their profits bc they are always closed and many thriving businesses would quickly die. Having only teenagers working minimum wage jobs is not only improbable but it's entirely idiotic. Some people need to work minimum wage jobs and we shouldn't shame them for it they deserve to live off of their pay just like we do. Also can you imagine teenagers training teenagers to do a job and then you go to complain to the manager but their a teenager too……. not good.

I’m a resident physician and I qualified for food stamps. Let that sink in. If I was in charge, I would make all government assistance recieved by employees be reimbursed by companies. Make it a tax debit, the opposite of a tax credit. End corporate welfare. This is me! lol. I’m a fucking sales manager in retail and still need food stamps, even sharing rent 50/50. Oh and with inflation my food stamp allocation is depleted before the month is even over so I still spend my own money on food. Cant really use a blanket statement like this when people don’t know how to manage their finances. budgeting is a personal responsibility Wait till you work for that same government yourself. FT And vested. And you still qualify for a couple of federal or state benefits. There is a local business my Fiance worked at a few years ago that shuts down the entire plant for 2 weeks every year to clean and retool the facility. So i asked if they are paying you to stay home. Nope. Told all employees to go get unemployment for 2 weeks. So they made the state pay them for their downtime. Ridiculous. If you’re on welfare you’re never leeching off the government. They’re a public infrastructure to make sure no one starves. We don’t tell churches to stop running food banks because a middle class person might use them.
