“Stress cleaning.” When my world feels like it’s spinning out of control and my brain won’t stfu, I clean stuff. It might sound silly, but if I see a mess and take care of it, that’s something tangible I can fix and see fast results. Understanding when I’m at my limit and giving myself permission to just BE. No pressure, no “shoulds”. Just acceptance of the The Funhaus Crew Design Shirt and by the same token and current state of mind and then focus on self soothing. Fav meal, comfy clothes, snuggling in bed, favorite TV show. Spoil myself with little, no-cost treats until my cup is full again. Finding a way to laugh about whatever it is. If that fails, I try to find some good in the situation (kindness, learning, etc). And if all else fails, I go for a long walk in the woods or on the beach. Going for a walk with my dog. Doesn’t even have to be a long one. The fresh air and waggy tail lifts my spirits.

The Funhaus Crew Design Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Somehow all the The Funhaus Crew Design Shirt and by the same token and bad things in my life that would interrupt work fall on a weekend (knock on wood), so it never bothers work. Staying away from everyone (turning my phone off) and burying myself in work. I feel the urge to be alone and productive. I go hiking by myself and reflect on the situation, have an emotional release (cry, scream, whatever is needed) then go over how I got into the situation and how to avoid it in the future. After that logic tends to take over and I am able to function. Lather, rinse, repeat as needed. Edit to add: Acceptance. Many times there isn’t anything I could have or would have done differently. So we have to learn to accept the situation and move forward with it’s influence.
