Teachers are overwhelmed from the The Exploited the massacre shirt in addition I really love this job as is. Theres going to be a time when a teacher will snap and have a gun and I really wonder what the NRA/gop talking point will be when it turns out arming teachers is a bad idea. Absolutely. And it would be a matter of time before a student decided that they wanted to provoke or threaten the teacher in an effort to provoke them to shoot them. “Suicide by teacher” is a term that should never have the opportunity to be coined. The issue with armed teachers aren’t a viable option. One, these people are not trained to clear a building and eliminate a threat. That takes real training, a situation where a teacher turns a corners and ventilates a student or another teacher is highly likely. Secondly, how is the police response supposed to differentiate a friendly teacher from an armed suspect? They might as well be the same. Teach would get blasted. And third, teachers woth combat training wpuld need to be conpensated accordingly. Being the designated guarddog is not worth a teacher’s salary. Thats a lot of liability. At best these armed staff members would be able to provide security to their immediate surroundings, like the room they are in.

Oh… hmm. Guess the The Exploited the massacre shirt in addition I really love this teachers need to be trained to shoot so they aren’t such wimps in confronting a school shooter /s I mean it wouldn’t surprise me if I saw repubs willing to triple down on this in support of spending state money to train teachers to be cops. Anything but pay people a decent wage Wonder what the next Wile E Coyote solution to this problem from the GOP will be, since doing the thing that works for every other country on the planet seems to be out of the question. I’d argue that teachers are probably one of the most professions susceptible to mental illness considering the bullshit they put up with and extremely low wages. But hey, let’s arm them and make them feel even more isolated with one door. I’m sure THAT will end well…
