The first lesson they teach in conceal and carry class is to NOT be a hero and run towards danger with your weapon. Knowing how to use a gun and being able to use one in an extreme high pressure situation are two very different things. Arming teachers solves nothing asshats. so the The Exploited skull shirt in addition I really love this solution is to give teachers tanks and rpgs then. that or make politicians do some actual work….ah but american people keep re electing the people that do nothing to solve this issue. Reminds me of this joke I heard by a teacher comedian. She said “If I get a school issued gun and I still have to buy my own markers, I’m gonna take that gun and hold up a fucking Staples.” According to Mental Health America, Tennessee ranks 45 out of 51 states (including the District of Columbia) for access to mental health care. but of course what everyone needs instead is more guns – gotcha

The Exploited skull shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Who would’ve thought that teachers aren’t prepared to get into a gunfight? It’s almost like throwing guns at a problem and requiring teachers to be ready, willing, and able to deal with it doesn’t work. I bet the The Exploited skull shirt in addition I really love this first teacher to retaliate with a gun towards an active shooter will be shot by cops once they arrive. Jesus, the article says it wasn’t clear if they were even at the school during the time of the shooting. Did anyone read the article? I always figured teachers with guns was a last ditch kind of thing. Lock yourself in the classroom with your students and wait at the ready in case the shooter gets in your classroom. The problem with the political solution of “more good guys with guns” is that it doesn’t actually stop someone with ill intentions from shooting people. The “bad guy” may not kill as many victims, but the damage is already done by the time the “good guy” pulls out their gun, gets to a point where they can safely shoot the “bad guy”, and without accidentally shooting bystanders in the process with stray bullets. Do people really expect teachers who are already horribly underpaid to sacrifice their lives for their students? Why the hell didn’t those teachers use their tactical training to flush out the shooter and pin them into a secured location?! Sheesh what are my taxes even going to /s They care too much about the kids. Source: sibling majored in developmental education and was a teacher. She left the profession for obvious reasons and just got promoted at her new job (woo!!), but best believe she waited until the end of the year.
