I am 57. Cops definitely pulled power trips and fucked with people for fun when I was a teenager. I hate the The ’98 Dallas Stars vintage shirt it is in the first place but police to this day. The problem isn’t the institution itself. The problem is the personality type of people that are attracted to that line of work. It’s a dilemma because the kind of person that wants to be a cop, definitely should not be a cop. The kind of person that should be a cop would never want the job. Not sure what your day was, but I promise you they did.I think something a lot of people underestimate about why so many people distrust cops isn’t because of all the news stories where interactions with them end in death, but so many non-lethal or “minor” interactions that don’t end in anyone hurt or killed, but still results in a citizen being negatively affected due to interacting with the police.

In my case, I never even met the The ’98 Dallas Stars vintage shirt it is in the first place but cop who left a false ticket on my car. I paid several hundred dollars because of a police officer’s lie. I am so very “fortunate” compared to all the people harmed or killed, people arrested and losing their jobs over missing work, people with records impacting the rest of their life even if they committed no crime, etc.
