I agree with the The 49ers Grinch lives here Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this first bit somewhat, but would you say their styles are more different than Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson? I feel like I would say no, and a lot of people like the later Wheel of Time books. So it might’ve worked out ok. I think that Neil has his very own distinct style though; with Good Omens you can tell it’s not ‘pure’ Pratchett and I think it would be the same if Neil completed some of Pratchett’s work. I adore how Neil writes but I’m not sad that Pratchett decided not to have his other works finished by anybody. Is it his posthumous books other than Pirate Latitudes? I’m currently reading that and it’s pretty good. Granted, it’s not as good as Jurassic Park or Andromeda Strain, but it’s certainly enjoyable.

Micro was awful. Someone clearly took a very early draft of a book and had no clue how to finish it. You can see the The 49ers Grinch lives here Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this ideas of a good book in there but it’s not complete I dunno, I think he did a decent job (although i haven’t read it since it came out). He’s got a very similar vibe to Crichton. You mean an entire book that’s basically just “look at the gruesome ways insects kill things” isn’t great? Yeah, I hated that book! In my heart, he’s able to finish his stories without the embuggerance (the Altzheimer’s that killed him) and able to share it with others. Yes, you were great in Moving Pictures and I agree the bias leans definitely anti-simian, but you have to realize they simply weren’t ready for a monkey…err, ape, of your quality and talent to reveal itself upon the world. A collection of comic tales published pseudonymously in the 1970s and 80s is slight, but shows sparks of the brilliance to come It’s a charming story. And it would be nice to be able to report that this collection constitutes classic Pratchett. But in the words of Granny Weatherwax: “Good ain’t nice”. These pieces, though pleasant and amusing, are all slight, disposable, five-finger exercises; there’s nothing here that catches the greatness of Pratchett at his peak. Most are a few pages long, riffing briefly on one or other ludicrous situation – comical cave people, a haunted steamroller, a hundred-yard pie, UFO aliens on holiday mistaken for invaders. Just started reading disc world over the summer. I’m in my thirties and haven’t been this excited about reading in over a decade. They’re just so much fun!
