When I started Dashing a few months ago, I remembered what it was like on the That name I love José Ramírez and Amed Rosario Cleveland Indians signatures shirt moreover I will buy this other side of that getting paid nothing for those orders and how I didn’t appreciate the way they treated us when they weren’t even paying us. I act respectfully accordingly. Also, I smile because I want people to feel like their food is safe with me. And that I genuinely want them to enjoy their food. Everyone I know who Dashes, does the same. I don’t hear of many drivers being creepy. The gas thing is wild to me too. I saw that screenshot from the r/UberEatsDrivers or r/UberEats and that was ridiculous. I don’t dash if I don’t already have enough gas. Or if you do, get the DasherDirect (despite the problems that come with it), end your dash when you make enough, fill up your tank, then start dashing again. Also, I often choose to not dash in certain areas when I don’t want to waste too much gas and I know the zone is known to send me into another one where the orders are too far so my acceptance or completion rates aren’t affected. It’s not hard. Competition. You hit the golden period. Now the algorithm is attuned for the most profit for Door dash, the lowest cost to the customer, and bare minimum for the worker.

I used to drive too and thought it was fun! I ordered a few months ago and the That name I love José Ramírez and Amed Rosario Cleveland Indians signatures shirt moreover I will buy this driver showed up, told me he forgot my order at the restaurant, and had to go all the way back for it. I think it’s always been like this. DD not considering it’s drivers as employees was always gonna foster this BS. It’s just obv as fuck now that more people are finding this Reddit I started with doordash and I think 2015 possibly 2014. I’d have to go back and check. When I started the pay model was you got $6 as base pay and then it would go up depending on distance or size of order or whatever. And then of course you got the tips on top of that. So I would work for 3 hours after work every day and bring in $150 easy. Now they’re paying literal pennies per order which is exactly why I said fuck off and I moved on to other gig platforms. Am I saying that those other big platforms are ethical? Fucking no. They also treat us like shit but it’s better than DoorDash. Does not help that tipping culture went off the rails during Covid. Everyone has lost their damn minds expecting massive tips for doing nothing.
