I craved acceptance and sought approval from awful people and demonstrated little empathy or tolerance for those I should have. I started smoking the Stapleton Minneapolis Stadium Series Shirt What’s more,I will buy this summer of my 17th year because my friends told me it would get me high. I didn’t realize at the time that it would become addictive. Took me 30 years to finally quit, thanks to help from my Doc and chantix. Not so much a regret, but more of something I think about is that I wish I would have realized sooner that my parents rules were for my safety & or well being from a genuine place of concern & love & not just them “controlling my life & restricting” my social life. I only regret the things I didn’t do… not telling Wendy I was madly in love with her my freshman year, being too wrapped up in heartbreak post-Heather to have noticed Missy was right the fuck in front of me my sophomore year, and not having realized that when Cheryl invited me into her bedroom my senior year, she wanted to do more than show me her new bathing suit.

I’d do it all again if I didn’t get caught. coming out as gay as a teenager really fucked up my life and had profound consequences i still feel and see today. i should have waited until i was an adult. i really really regret doing it so early on. i could have been so different and better off/more of a secure person. Not really. I was in a state of crippling, suicidal depression for many years. If anything, I feel very sad for not having the opportunities to do stuff and make those mistakes. Doing nothing. I did a whole lot of nothing because I was afraid to put myself out there and now I just look back on all that wasted time.
