Women do this and it comes from a place of immature insecurity. I think they just get curious to see if you’re noticing their imperfections the Standin On Bidness shirt But I will love this same way they do in the mirror which just validates their insecurities and it’s really pointless. As some have already said blame the dress. I’d say something like “Don’t start asking me stupid questions. You’re not fat so it can’t make you ‘look’ fat. That dress just wasn’t as flattering as the second one. C’mon, lets go” Be a bit firm too, just to discourage her from asking in the future. Tbh, i’m a woman and I find insecure people a bit exhausting lol But I think that’s the best response. So basically I tell people not to ask me questions especially opinion based questions if they don’t want a honest answer. If you do so then get offended that’s a you problem. As a female I would have replied like you did. If it doesn’t look good it doesn’t look good I’m not going to sit here and bull shit with you if you ask my opinion . Don’t ask if you don’t want me to be blunt

Standin On Bidness shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Personally I always thought it was stupid to get mad at someone honestly answering your question. You can chastise someone for being blunt but not for being honest Tell the Standin On Bidness shirt But I will love this truth – a reply of I think I’ve seen you in more flattering outfit – the (name one you think she looks great in I don’t like to respond too much to this am I fat stuff. It’s okay to be fat, and ultimately in the long run, it’s worse if you tell them they’re not fat because they’ll be affirmed that it’s a valid way of judging themselves, and they’re correct to attach value to it. The world might do it, but I’m not going join in that game. Apparently you are supposed to say anything BUT, regardless of how honest you are expected to be! Which is ridiculous. You might say it doesn’t flatter, or it just doesn’t look quite right.
