There’s a couple towns where I live where young teens have been doing this, to the South Park Group Holiday Christmas shirt but in fact I love this point they’ve withdrawn the routes after dark for drivers’ and passengers’ safety. It’s a real shame, as round here is a public transport desert as it is. Although I suppose it doesn’t help when council budget cuts have meant there’s no places for older kids and youngsters to go, with the only youth club in the closest town to me being shut down for structural and safety reasons with no replacement in mind. I could go on a rant further, but Rule 1 is swirling around in my head! Hahaha that’s even better than the time my bus driver stopped in the middle of nowhere, stepped out and smoked a cigarette in about a minute flat then got back on board and continued driving.

Mandated break? My uni campus had buses that went most of the South Park Group Holiday Christmas shirt but in fact I love this way round it and if you got on a bus at one bus stop, usually you’d have to wait to set off before the driver had had their fag/vape for about 5-10 minutes. Then again, I don’t suppose a minute is long enough for a break, unless he was splitting them up and staggering them so he could have more fags, or the bus company was wrongfully pressuring drivers into taking smaller breaks? Nope, I’m an avid public transport user and know where the break points on my routes are. This stop wasn’t one of them. The guy probably figured he was a couple minutes ahead of schedule, was itching for a smoke and went for it. Not my story, but you’ve just reminded me that someone I used to work with had an almost identical story to yours! We were chatting about random things you got in trouble for that weren’t your fault, that still bug you. She missed her curfew and got in trouble with her parents because the bus route went past the driver’s sister’s house, and he decided to stop the bus to go and have a cup of tea with her. Parents didn’t believe her and she was grounded for being late. I know it most have sounded ridiculous to her parents, but I’d think it would fall into the category of “why would you make up something so random?!” Back in the 80s I was getting the bus home from watching Bradford City. I was 17. It was raining and I was wearing a long overcoat. I’d sat down upstairs. The bus was filling up and no one had sat next to me. I was in a seat above the door and watched this stunning woman get in. She was probably only a couple of years older than me.
