It’s almost like American prison systems were designed to keep prisoners coming back to them. Now why would that be? /s Dude has a bag from “Naerbutiken”, which seems to be some kind of convenience store or a small grocery store. Seems like he can leave the Someone Remind Me To Take Attendance T-Shirt also I will do this prison at times. But American ?? Prisons turn you into better criminals and help them find a nice gang of friends to work out with. This makes total sense to me. Loosing your freedom is punishment enough, not being able to dip your foot in an ocean or fly out of your hometown is punishment enough. We don’t need to take away criminals humanity to punish them, it is proven to only further the revolving door system. There is a documentary about Norwegian prisons. Gaurds from a Pennsylvanian prison went to a Norwegian prison to learn about how they do things there and potentially implement some practices at their home prison. It was pretty interesting, unfortunately I forgot what it’s called. It’s accurate. I work at a prison in eastern Norway, and most cells are just like this. They also have a shower in there And why exactly should it not be? Cheap but sturdy, functional, limited space. The constraints are very similar. There’s just a fundamental problem with the messaging here. Yes, lots of people will see this and say “look, we want to rehabilitate people who commit crimes and one great step toward that is treating them with some decency” but think about the group of hateful fucks that see this and just think “why the hell would we put these pieces of shit in a place of comfort? They broke the law they deserve to suffer.”

One group has hope – that people who do wrong by society could someday rejoin and do good. The other group want to slake their lust for violence. And to them, it’s justified. There’s no sweeter violence than causing someone to suffer who you think deserves it. So fucked up. And then of course there’s the Someone Remind Me To Take Attendance T-Shirt also I will do this reality where essentially minorities are just tossed in cells for whatever reason and treated like shit so a few monsters can get off on their fucked up form of justice. I’m generally anti violence but if there’s one type of person I would totally strangle the fuck out of it would be those pieces of shit with punisher bumper stickers on their F150s During COVID-19, I was quarantined on my work site that has the same kind of room. So I can say l was in a Norwegian cell for a week! That’s was not too bad, the worst was the food… But it doesn’t depend on COVID. Your average Norwegian views a prisoner as someone who made a mistake, and will need to be reintegrated into society.
