I can’t be alone in this but i think Colin Farrell was playing Penguin as if he was Robert DeNiro and Tuturro playing Falcone as if he was Al Pacino. I just got very similar vibes from both performances. Also there were moments where i thought Pattinson was a bit softly Nicholas Cage-esque, but then at moments where he had to yell he slipped into the Snoopy Flying Ace Shirt so you should to go to store and get this Bale Batvoice. None of this is a bad thing, i love it, the movie was fantastic! You know the script is good when Penguin walking like a penguin doesn’t feel forced or awkward. Look, I loved just about everything in this movie. The cinematography, the score, the actors, how the characters were portrayed. And as far as development, the movie lends itself to be a great character piece on the development of The Batman through a trilogy but… Are we gonna act like The Riddler didn’t literally win? I mean he was always one step ahead and was pretty much one misplaced bullet to the mayor to totally accomplishing his goal. The man killed everyone he set out to, exposed the Wayne’s, purposefully got captured then blew the city up causing probably the deaths of 100s of thousands of people. My man Batman took an L every step of the way. All he was good for was solving the riddles quickly and his contact scanner thingy. After that, man’s was useless ???

Still a really good movie though But that’s the Snoopy Flying Ace Shirt so you should to go to store and get this point. The Riddler wasn’t wrong. Batman is so focused on beating up random criminals, and is confused as to why crime is getting worse. Every step of the way the Riddler leads him further into how corrupt the institutions are. The Riddler “wins”, but the film is about Batman realising that being vengeful and ignoring his responsibilities is why he makes no difference. He has to learn what it means to be Batman. Did you think it was odd that Batman was working with the police for 2 years…but never realized that any of the cops or the district attorneys were corrupt? It would’ve been a much stronger film if Alfred or Gordan actually told Batman that he should follow the cases through the system to see if any of the criminals he caught actually went to jail. And on actually sitting in a courtroom and watching the mafia hitman he just captured (for example) get all charges dropped…he would then realize that the judge is taking bribes. And in investigating the judge he would realize just how deep the corruption in Gotham goes. This would show Batman actually learning and growing and evolving his crime-fighting methods in Year Two.
