The fanbase is compromised of people who think it’s awsome to get called grand admiral when you spend 1000$ on ships I’d rather get NFTs (which is another waste of money) than a fucking $1000 ship to play in a dull buggy early concept of a ‘game’ that has been in development for the Smyth county champs 2023 shirt Apart from…,I will love this last 10 or so years. Every 12-18 months I remember I technically own this game, remember how fucking unfinished it is, and then forget about it for 12-18 more months. I would just like to point out that SC sells a $40,000 USD ship pack. That’s not in game currency either, real physical dollars, for virtual ships, in a game that’s been in alpha for 10 years. That’s the price a nice car or a less nice house for a ship pack that you’ll maybe use a handful of and the rest will just collect dust. Also, you only have the ability to buy this pack by earning the concierge designation by spending $1,000

they have no incentive at all to finish the Smyth county champs 2023 shirt Apart from…,I will love this project, they have every incentive in the world to keep adding feature creep so they can keep selling people on a dream and make big money doing so. how many games have generated as much in sales as SC have in crowdfunding? its a very successful game if you just view it from an income perspective, and they can keep that income coming in by just continuing to prepare these fever dream pitches to their players as they collect money from them. they arent developing a game, they’re selling the dream of one, and they already know that dream generates a lot of money, there is currently no evidence the game would. why risk it by trying to finish the game when you can play it safe (and simple) by not finishing anything and keep making money? Non of the means to drive income stops when the game is done. They will still sell ships, premium sub features, and irl merch.
