So others can avoid it in the future. Even experience developers need a few weeks to catch up. A contractor usually cannot be fired based on the contract unless you’re grossly violating something or barely meeting the minimum. So usually contracting has properly defined tasks and job titles. 3.) The fact they called you back is obvious. They hired you to do work and are taking advantage of your lower salary. They fired you and they want you back. It is clear they have a management issue. 4.) Unless your college is a specialized college that offers you training to code. You shouldn’t expect much from yourself as you are in the first year. From my experience in coding competitions, undergrads usually don’t do as well in the first two years compared to specialized associated grads. Usually 3rd and 4th years are a lot more intense from my experience working with people in competitions.
