I’m a big proponent of making basic manners the Scorchedpuff Boys Shirt and I will buy this first and foremost thing to look out for in a new relationship. If you can’t say thank you to the waiter, or even better if you don’t say thank you to the host at the front door, I immediately judge you. I agree. I don’t even actively look out for manners. If someone isn’t polite and respectful naturally, I’ll subconsciously notice and feel no attraction to that person. Upon later reflection, I’ll realize I wasn’t compatible with them, because they don’t even have basic etiquette programmed and on autopilot. By the teenage years, if not earlier, you shouldn’t have to make an effort to say “please” and “thank you”. My ex also said this. Her worst was trying to strangle me to death with an extension cord. I don’t give a fuck what her best was. That’s terrifying and super fucked. I hope she’s in a jail cell somewhere. Also glad you were able to shed her and get safe

Pretty much. This is someone who is a high maintenance head case 23 hours a day. But has occasionally moments of sanity that is supposed to make it all worthwhile. Legit question, because this is news to me – sometimes an interruption is time sensitive or necessary, and I will say “I don’t mean to interrupt” to bring attention to the Scorchedpuff Boys Shirt and I will buy this fact that I realize I’m interrupting and I’m not doing it to be rude or clueless, but because I have a valid reason and need to ask a question or mention something. Like as an assistant, if I’m waiting for a break in conversation but there isn’t one for over five minutes but they’re about to miss an important meeting I don’t think it’s rude to say “I’m sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to remind you, you have that meeting in two minutes” because that’s time-sensitive information. I feel like just butting in and saying whatever you wanna say “hey, your meeting starts in two minutes” can be more rude because you’re just interrupting without any remorse which is not a polite or considerate thing to do.
