I completely understand where you’re coming from. I think sometimes people can overthink meditation and convince themselves that it’s not for them, without really giving it a fair shot. It’s kind of like saying “concentration is not for me” or “I tried going out for walks every day, but I don’t feel any different”. It’s a story someone is telling themselves, and if they believe it, then that’s how it will be. Hmmm, it seems to me that if one is overthinking meditation, the Sarcastic Dogs Should Be Tax Deductible Dog Deductions T-Shirt in addition I really love this best prescription is meditation of some kind or another, 🙂 I think it is more like “brushing my teeth isn’t for me.” Okay, but you are going to have really bad breath. Meditation is the time that I get the gunk out of my brain that gets stuck in there from day to day life. With the exception of journaling I don’t think there is another activity that really tends to the mind like meditation (I include mindfulness practices in meditation in that statement). You can argue about everything. It’s all down to definitions of words and situations in the Sarcastic Dogs Should Be Tax Deductible Dog Deductions T-Shirt in addition I really love this end. My point still stands. i didn’t see any difference up until 2 months of sitting, i didn’t think for one second that “meditation isn’t for me”. i think people need to persevere. it’s not that ppl can’t see results, beginners just can’t notice them because they don’t know what awareness feels like Tried and failed for 3 years until I really understood the point. Is very hard. Is a challenging mental exercise in so many levels that I’m very understanding when people say that is not for them or that it didn’t worked. Is probably because they never understood in the first time. We need better ways to teach people meditation. So agree with this. I started exploring meditation 5 years ago and it made me feel better at the time, of course I wasn’t consistent at all and just did it here and there. It wasn’t until I had a meditation coach/mentor a few months ago who helped me on my journey and that’s when I began to start scratching the surface of the essence of meditation.
