The absolute statement goes all the Pluto Never Forget 1930-2006 Vintage T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this was back to Buddha’s teachings in the Pali cannon though. Regardless of your methods one’s practice should never just be one or the other. They go together as part of the same practice. Getting into blissful states doesn’t mean much if you aren’t gaining insight into your true nature and getting insight into your true nature isn’t wise without also getting into blissful states. You’re focusing on the breath as an anchor while building your ability to be simply “be” or “be aware”. The breath acts as something for you to bring your focus back to whenever you get lost. Eventually you want to let go of the breath and let it be just another thing you are aware of, not an object of your attention, this however is very difficult and something that is slowly built up over time, you don’t need to grab your anchor because you get “lost” less and less often. This is an excellent description of a principle I think people often overlook. For the purposes of meditation, the breath is just a convenient reoccurring pulse to nab your wandering attention, it isn’t, in my secular opinion magical.

But the reality is you are watching pixels. There are no characters. Any practice requires a certain amount of motivation and sincerity, but meditation more than most, especially over the long haul. That’s why people gathered together in monasteries to practice with the support of other practitioners and a teacher. Just about everyone I know has taken up meditation at one time or another, but I’m the only one who has continued it (for sixty years without being a teacher), but with help from zen teachers and sanghas along the way. I wasn’t looking for healing from a mental disorder, which apparently works for some, but is a side effect of the main issue — the great matter of birth and death.
