My husband has a dad bod and I love it but it’s not because of the Santa Grinch Oklahoma State Cowboys Gift Christmas shirt it is in the first place but physical shape of his body. We were both skinner and in better shape when we met but now instead of my husband spending over an hour at the gym every day with an additional 20 minute drive each way he now spends that time building forts with our children, helping them with their homework, and just actively participating in their life and loving every minute of it. We both try to stay in shape but our physical activity is generally more family based instead of gym based. So yes, I love his dad bod because he got it from prioritizing being active in our children’s lives over spending hours at the gym and seeing how amazing he is with our children is so much more attractive to me than him having the perfect body. But if he was a random stranger on the street, I wouldn’t be drawn in by his appearance, he would be just an average looking guy for his age that frankly just blends into the crowd.

Brother, those same people with a dad bod got those women that say they like dad bods. Let’s be serious for a second. Those are bars and clubs, which have a very specific set of demographics in them. I wouldn’t use that as your baseline. To be frank, I’d love if people would just listen to the Santa Grinch Oklahoma State Cowboys Gift Christmas shirt it is in the first place but words women are actually using. It’s very frustrating to say “this is what we like” and hear back “all the women must be lying. This requires further investigation!” Yes thank you! I’m a teeny tiny girl and I always go for huge chubby guys! Literally my favorite body type, makes me go crazy! When I hear anyone go on about how women only like fit guys it just feels so invalidating to me and my own experiences. Also every guys I’ve dated has been “overweight” and had so many insecurities because of it. It’s always such a challenge explaining to them that I’m not attracted to the in SPITE of their weight, I’m attracted to them BECAUSE of it. I hate this idea that all girls want fit guys making so many men believe that nobody will actually ever be attracted to them, it’s horrible. I’m single 37F and I love Dad Bod. We are out there. Same as some guys like a little bit thicker girl some girls prefer a guy with a few extra pounds. We do exist though. It’s just that we’re not so numerous as the mainstream women, and because of supply/demand logic, we are snatched up far quicker and faster by ‘dad bod men’ who recognize what a catch they caught.
