When I’m in shape, hot women at bars come up and talk to me. When I have a dad bod/gut and rounder face, I get zero attention from women. Note that the women in this thread who will say things like, “My husband/bf has a dad bod and I love it,” they would say that of any body type their husband/bf had, that doesn’t mean that’s what they’d seek out if they were single. You are so right with your 2nd paragraph. They just love their husbands – which is a wonderful thing – but I don’t think they would hate it if their husbands were in excellent shape. This is what bugs me when someone asks what women like with stuff like smells. Top answer is always the natural odor of their SO. It’s the answer to a different question.

I was just about to say that! Some fall in love before dad bod and have been with them for years. Oh, and one doesn’t have to be a Dad to find themselves with the Santa Grinch New York Yankees Gift Christmas shirt Apart from…,I will love this old dad bod! I am not in any shape so I see muscular/fit men and I have no interest because I already know they’d look at me and think ew she needs to lose weight. But I see a dad bod and I’m like alright, we’re kinda on the same playing field here. Personally I like it but not everyone does. Not talking like morbid obesity though I know some people dig that, just not for me. I’m not attracted to the overly muscley look at all and not the other end of the spectrum either. Just kinda right there in the middle like “you know I could go for a walk after dinner but I’d rather not” because I would also rather not go for a walk. I want to take a nap. I want someone else who wants to take a nap, not go to the gym. Not everyone is a gym rat. I would like to kindly encourage you to abandon that thinking. I am no longer, but once was quite fit and began dating a lovely woman who was not fat but was not thin and was both taller and wider than me. She was great, i loved her laugh and smile and personality and there was NOTHING i disliked about her body. She always said things like that and kept asking if i had an ulterior motive and why would someone in shape like me want someone not in shape like her. That eventually ruined it and i feel it was a legit loss for me.
