£100 a month helps us, as their parents, cover the Santa Claus With Cats Around Cats For Everyone shirt Also,I will get this cost of them living here, but isn’t too much out of their pay that they can’t save. My son pays a monthly add on of £30 as we upgraded the Wi-Fi beyond what my wife and I would need for his gaming, so he pays the difference in monthly tariff. They both buy most of their own food, clothes, everything to do with their cars, and my daughter pays for her dogs food and cleaning equipment. Well I pay £200/month, no job, it’s out disability. It’s fine. That’s for the room, no bills other than that and I usually eat dinner with them but I’ll get my own food for other meals usually. Personally would keep it low as possible while still being substantial enough that it requires them to budget adequately. I think around £100-£150. Unless you absolutely need the money, which obviously fair enough, house keeping I think is more about teaching a kid to budget and to prepare them for the “real world”. Saying that, you don’t want to leave them struggling or without savings, they’re still kids, not actual tenants you know?

People here are going on about market value however they are ultimately your children who’ve been living in your house rent free, you don’t want to get them into a position whereby they can’t move out because of how much they’re paying you. £1500 doesn’t go as far as people think it might, especially if commuting into london, paying phone / car bills etc. Parents never charged me to live in my Santa Claus With Cats Around Cats For Everyone shirt Also,I will get this own house nor will I… just stick £50 pocket money into their accounts each week, easiest way to support Son: Mum I told you to not ask people on Reddit how much they charge because they will say silly things like £1599 a month After graduating uni in 2021, I was paying around £300 a month excluding food – lasted 5 months because I’d rather be paying twice that in rent to be independent again.
