The fact that you have to press buttons to open up your ship doors and start the engine, get into the gunner seat, etc makes the game feels like you’re actually there. This game can be way more immersive if you have a flight sim and this game even have the eye tracking feature. But that’s the thing, if you really want to enjoy the game to it’s full potential then you’ll need to upgrade your PC, get a flight sim, and other things, i’m not saying you can’t enjoy the game without investing on any of these but if you really want to try what star citizen offers then you’ll need to spend a lot of money. But the question whether it’s worth it or not in the long run always pops in my mind, because the most eye opening moment i got was after i asked the people in chat “why don’t the devs optimize this game better” and i got a reply saying “because there is no point, the game always changes and it’s a very tedious job to keep optimizing the game over and over again after each update”. That made me realize what other things are the devs going to implement before they actually release the game. Technologies are always improving so it seems that the devs will probably keep adding new things over and over again and never really release the game. In fact when i participated in the free fly event it was during one of the worse times for star citizen because they just implemented a feature where objects that you drop, regardless if it’s a super valuable gun or just an empty bottle, will actually stay there forever until someone moves it or dispose it. That really broke the game and gave horrible server and fps issues. At first i wanted to buy it but at that price point i feel like i might as well get starfield instead.

But thanks to all the money and time invested some really interesting stuff has come out. it probably wont be the ultimate game, but it sure paves the way for one in the future It blows my mind that anyone STILL defends this shit show. Anyone who knew of Chris Roberts knew immediately that this game was never going to launch. And here we are, 12 years since the start of production and it hasn’t left alpha. Meanwhile, Elite Dangerous, which started prod/dev around the same time, was released on time and is still going. since Star Citizen also uses the money to build its web presence, i find these estimation inaccurate, because for me producing all those shows, the website, etc. are marketing. Seems like a very poorly researched piece… Shart Shitizen has up the time of writing collected $589 million in funding.
