We will NEVER evolve past it. It’s no change from the Sakamoto Days N4 shirt in other words I will buy this first Emperor of China being buried with his Teracotta Army, silly metal hats on European Monarchs or specific feathers in American head wares. Your pragmatism is the most logical approach, I do want to cling to that unlikely sliver of hope that got us from hunting and gathering to space exploration; in the end, most likely, you will be right, though there are many precedents in which our species had to socially evolve. The point where we would need to is not an if, rather a when. So the most relevant question would be, will this happen in our lifetime? And most importantly, would we want to witness it? We can’t get past all that bs, maybe our technology evolves, newer generations stepping up on what older generations left and build. But Humans don’t evolve anymore(Darwin) , so we will never get rid of envy, addictions and greed that is hardwired in Our DNA. So we allways end Up in war, suffering, crimes, workoholics, abuse and kindlike Problems. Unless we enforce Worldwide gene manipulation.

While I’m sure that the Sakamoto Days N4 shirt in other words I will buy this relatively new success of Spain in modern context would be at least half of the picture, while pre industrial societies are much less productive than industrial ones Spain for quite a while was at least wealthy maybe not economically healthy but wealthy. There is something to be said about a southern and northern European divide here where the more prevalent aspects of honor culture in those regions show through showing off wealth which is honorable and obscuring it which someone would be more likely to do in a dignity culture, the perspective there would be more inclined to suggest that your inherent human dignity does not require displays of wealth. While the disparity in dignity and honor culture are less pronounced with southern and Northern Europe than European and Asian cultures they are present.
