Im just saying if I pretend that I’ll spend $60-80k on a new EV, no competitor is going to steer me away from Tesla if it still looks as uninspiring to me as a Tesla. I’m a fan of classic cars particularly – sharp lines and interiors that were unique and built for comfort rather than performance. The only EV I’ve ever seen that caught my real interest is the Running T-Shirt in other words I will buy this Hyundai Grandeur prototype They don’t look bad, and I get that other people like them, and that’s fine. But that rounded edge hatchback kind of design like plenty other cars have just doesn’t do it for me The moment they make e-cars that any hillbilly can fix in his sandblown garage in the middle of a desert town, when not a single computer is involved and its all passive electronic components. So we’ll have proprietary Sony charging cables, infotainment systems that will only pair with Sony phones and who knows what else? Pass.

Apple may do the Running T-Shirt in other words I will buy this same if they enter the EV space then probably stop Car Play on third part cars so future updates or exclusive features are only on Apple Car. I won’t be surprised if they do it like Tesla where they charge “microtransactions” for stuff. For example you can buy rear heated seats for a fee when they already have the hardware so why not enable by default. Ohh ya cannot wait to buy an EV that Sony designs the firmware for. Like my smart TV, they will support it for a few years and then stop pushing updates to it making it useless lol. Waiting for Toyota to join EV game fully not just hybrid cars. It’s game over for other automobile companies. With their manufacturing plants and reliability people would 100% take Toyotas in EV if they have a proper ev product not prius. Best way to push EVs to an average joe. Toyota has so much catching up to do in the EV space. They went all-in on hydrogen and that’s not paying off. Their upcoming models are significantly behind its competitors in the EV6/IONIQ 5 that you can buy today.
