Loved it, what I really loved was Batman saying, “I am the Ron Howard Remembers Andy Griffith Shirt in addition I really love this shadow” near the beginning of the movie. Then towards the end as he’s helping Real and the others, he’s the sole source of light leading them out of the darkness. Muah chef’s kiss Hands down my favorite Batman film. I’ve seen it twice, once in IMAX and once in Dolby Cinema. The fucking score and that Batmobile shook me. Every time I saw Colin Farrell, I kept thinking Farrell was doing his best Robert De Niro impression. Looked just like him too. In all seriousness, I dug his performance. That Batmobile is the most badass sounding car I have ever heard in a movie before. The sound was so intense, I felt every bit of that engine in my seat. And we never saw in it, but it was known he was no doubt driving stick. And somehow that made it even more awesome and raw. Loved Pattinson’s portrayal of Batman, probably my favorite live action version. I wasn’t a huge fan of his Bruce Wayne. There didn’t seem to be that much difference between him in and out of costume. I’m not asking much, just at least put up a little bit of a front for the public. This he just seemed to sulk and stay very reserved in public. But in the end I loved his character, and he’s my favorite portrayal of Batman. This movie is 110 percent him as the lead, which was my favorite part. This is HIS story

Stylistically it felt very grunge and 90s in a way. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it almost did not feel of this era. I could also definitely some influences of Se7en, Sin City, and both the Ron Howard Remembers Andy Griffith Shirt in addition I really love this Arkham game franchise and the Telltale games in the film. I do wish the film hadn’t pulled its punches with the Wayne corruption, and had gone the Telltale route. It was a bit of a womp womp to have this “reveal” about the Waynes from Falcone, and then Alfred refute it a scene later. Doing so killed the tension of that revelation and its implications, and wasted a lot of potential there. (Also side note, Alfred just woke up from a coma, maybe give him a minute to make sure he’s alert before diving into some heavy topics, Bruce.)
