This reminds me of one of my favorite channels. Started out as videos about him hiking, but one day he decided to tell a story about another hiker who found themselves in a bad position. That video took off,so he changed his channel to mostly stories about other hikers and he’s growing pretty fast because of it. You are so right; I think a big part of it is picking a niche that you enjoy everything about because otherwise you’re not going to have a good time. If making whatever videos people want about that topic doesn’t give you enjoyment, then you probably won’t last long You’re right. There’s two types of people making YT videos. Ones that do it for their own entertainment and enjoyment and that is fine. But there’s also people like us (since you made this post I think you also belong it this group) that want to “make it” and telling us to do what we love is just not helpful. I started youtube a month ago and my fourth video has almost a thousand views which would be a huge success for a lot of people. BUT in the Rey Mysterio WWE World Championship Wrestling shirt and I love this meantime I saw two other channels (same niche) that completely blew up with the same amount of videos. So right now, I’m analyzing their videos and try to adopt some things into my own videos but I suck at analyzing so there’s that…

If people ask for advice and you want to be helpful GIVE ACTUAL FEEDBACK instead of telling them to just do what they love. Do what others want…yep sounds like yotube nowadays. It sucks man it sucks…old hoitube was better I think this is why pewdiepie kinda fell off. He posts what he wants not what others want but it’s always been like that forbhim This is so true and we learn the Rey Mysterio WWE World Championship Wrestling shirt and I love this hard way. I always made videos on what I was interested in. I started applying the same seo strategies I use with my blogs for niche research, and started a channel based on what people were searching for, checking the competition, barrier to entry etc… I started my channel on 31st of Dec 2023. To date I have 93 videos, a mixture of shorts and long form, 309 subs and 135k views.
