My employer has generally reacted well, I just feel like I’ve let them down too much and I’m now at the Rest In peace Andre Braugher 1962 2023 thank you for the memories Captain Holt T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this point where I’m honestly surprised I haven’t been pulled up and disciplined. I get pulled up by my therapist for not booking leave, in a block. She is right that when I have just one day, I barely get rest done, let alone any other stuff that future me would benefit from and be calmer about. The solution you mention is one option, but it doesn’t get to the root of why you feel this way, and it’s not a sustainable coping mechanism every time – are you doing anything/getting any support with these? This is so true. I have chronic fatigue following cancer treatment and used to use up most of my leave taking days off when I knew I’d need a rest day – eg a Monday if we were doing something at the Rest In peace Andre Braugher 1962 2023 thank you for the memories Captain Holt T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this weekend (such as visiting parents, not like I was out raving or anything! But anything over and above the norm really depletes my spoons) Or taking a full day off if had a hospital appointment, just so I wouldn’t have the stress of having to do that while going in and out of work, panicking about getting parking and getting back to the office afterwards etc. Now I work from home 4 days out of 5 and those things are so much better. Not commuting gives me extra sleep time, and if I need to do something during the day I just can. Since covid and work from home my employer has become more chilled about what hours we do, so if I’m having a rough day I can just start later (although we had flexi time previously, realistically everyone was at their desk by half eight, not least because you couldn’t get parked if you came in later! And you’d get raised eyebrows just because it was unusual, even if technically allowed) – now nobody cares!
