“Clean girl makeup” is boring. If I’m putting in the Premium baseball Detroit 1894 MLB classic shirt also I will do this time and effort to do my makeup I want to look like I’ve done something with my face. It doesn’t have to be full on glam, but it needs to be noticeable. The features you naturally have probably flatter you the most. I’m tired of makeup being less about highlighting your natural features and more about changing your look to suit the trend of the moment. I’m not saying, only wear “natural” looks, I’m saying, there shouldn’t be one trendy eye shape, lip shape, nose width, eyebrow width, etc. Just rock what you got and stop trying to fit one, and only one, mold. I have to disagree with you OP. For darker skin individuals, POC, black and brown people, we need more pigment in our products. Blushes like Juvias place and rare beauty are great because they are more inclusive and can be used by all skin tones. If a product is too pigmented, you can use less of it, or you can diffuse it on your hand then apply it your face for better control. One dot of blush for you may make your whole face red, but one dot for a darker skin person may be the perfect amount of blush. Just another perspective to consider Great point. I’m not POC (I actually have pale skin) but I prefer highly pigmented blush too. I like using just a tiny bit of product to get instant color without taking time to build up. More pigmented products and shades are more versatile for different skin tones.

That’s a really really great point! Im glad that there are higher pigmented products for POC. I was generally talking about fairer skin but Im glad you made that point on here! I’ve been wearing white eyeliner on my waterline and love it. A lot of people end up looking like creepy dolls in a lot of ways. Every color has so many varying shades that you can say that about any color. No one specific shade looks good on everyone, I don’t care if they claim it’s a universal lipstick I agree with you, I like Japanese blushes because they don’t have crazy pigment so it’s less scary (but Korean ones just don’t show up on my skin) Admittedly I’m biased as my eyes are highly dry, sensitive and allergic, and as much as I love eye makeup I love my eye health more. I realize that people have been using eyeliner there for millennia, but I do wonder why it’s hard to find others like me who avoid putting anything on their waterline. gel eyeliner in my waterline is my favorite thing in makeup tbh. If I could only chose one thing to do for makeup, it would mascara first and waterline eyeliner second place; I’ve never gotten an infection or irritated eyes of any kind
