Sure there are some jerks out there who are refusing to move out of spite or “I’m going the Nolan Being Nolan Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this speed limit, get off my back” but for the most part I think it’s just people not paying attention. I have the same issue with my husband. I do the highway driving as much as possible because even if he is driving, I still have to pay attention and remind him to get back over because traffic is backing up behind him or passing him on the right. Agree. My boyfriend drives in the left lane and is unaware that he should move to the right lane. I have to tell him to move over when he is driving slower than others. He isn’t “refusing” nor does he have bad intentions, he simply doesn’t seem to know that he is doing anything wrong. I was driving from Ohio to west Virginia and this lady was just sitting in the left lane – going slower than all other traffic I passed her, pulled off an exit to use a restroom, got back on and passed her again.. but she was causing traffic to build up because of a tractor trailer in the right lane going slowly as well,.no one could get by her for quite some time. I just don’t understand this behavior

I drive in the Nolan Being Nolan Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this left lane pretty commonly but the instant I see the car behind me is getting closer, I find a place to get right for a second until they pass and then go back to it. Its mega uncomfortable for me to be holding someone up in the left lane. Drivers education here teaches kids to drive as if they were the only car on the road. Basically to pay attention to the road and all the rules. It doesn’t teach cooperation with other drivers. It’s every man for themselves. I’ve driven in places like Germany and over there it feels like we’re all working towards the same goal of getting to where we’re going. In contrast, over here it seems to be more like “I’m going where I’m going and I don’t care if anybody else ever gets to where they’re going”… which in the end screws us all over. As a born and raised Los Angelino, I only knew the Left Lane as the Fast Lane. It wasn’t until I left the state that I’d ever heard of the Left Lane being a Passing Lane.
