These days though, I completely understand that simply isn’t economically viable for many Australians. Student accommodation and cost-of-living means that studying and working enough to pay rent and all living costs is very well near impossible for most Australians. I imagine this is similar in many parts of the Nights At The Phoenix Club With Peter Kay shirt moreover I love this U.S. It also sadly (at least in my eyes) means that my generation was probably the last to properly enjoy this ritual of leaving home at 18… and it also means we’re the first to deal with absurd house prices and the least prepared. Because our culture is obsessed with independence and self interest rather than community and interdependence I think this is awful also. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. I’m retired. Why do parents kick their kids out at 18? I believe it because Americans are to hung up on religion and what society says they’re supposed to do. Religion tells you you’re suppose to procreate and society thinks it awful if you don’t have kids. Well these people who kick their kids out at 18 are monsters. What your friends mother said “your 18 I’ve done my job” just shows they only had kids because society and religion told them they should. These parents don’t do know what love is. If they have any love for their children it’s conditional! I don’t really know anyone that did this. Everyone usually stayed with their parents until they graduate university and get a solid job.

They don’t. Kids often choose to leave home to go to college, and look forward to it. But recently, many are choosing to live with their parents because of the Nights At The Phoenix Club With Peter Kay shirt moreover I love this cost of living. It’s more practical to live at home. I’m 36 and live with my mom. I am 29 M and lived at home until I was 27. My family is from Europe and they were ok with me living at home while I saved up for a house. I’m from Europe too and in my country there is literally a well-known movie making fun of the character who is 28 and still living at his parent’s: Tanguy. Still living at your parent’s for economic reasons while you are getting your Master degree (around 23-25) is okay. Beyond you start being seen as having an awkward dependence in my country. Personally, I could get it somehow in Southern European countries hit by unemployment. But otherwise if you can have a life on your own and you choose to stay there to save up money, by my book you are mommy’s boy and it does not look good (just my perspective). It’s not just “America”. Americans (am one) just tend to be shittier parents and people in general. Lots of them talk about their kids being a burden, a ruiner of dreams, etc. They probably had kids cause religion/society and are bitter. Mine certainly fit this category, was kicked out at 16 for being queer Nuclear family model pushed during the Cold War… most of the world didnt fall for such nonsense but Americans really got high on their own supply
