My wife grew up with no electricity water etc and food was scarce. She is one of those moms that is very concerned with our daughter eating enough. Just because of her lived experiences I try to redirect my son (2.5) to eat his food, because he gets distracted. Please eat more scrambled eggs after to balance out your meal. Ok, so take my kid (4yo) for example. I don’t give him an “adult sized” portion by any means. He gets a child sized portion of whatever we’re having. He almost always doesn’t finish his plate, unless it’s something like pancakes.
