Nobody in America does. As a hiring manager, I’ve found that some places in eastern Europe do in fact negotiate net pay by defualt. It seems a bit strange, but it’s really a thing some places. It’s fucking crazy that this is what passes for a professional wage negotiation. I don’t think I’d even respond to a recruiter or manager who attempted to communicate like this. I assume you are a more mature guy, because I had the Nice will Trade Sister For Firecrackers Funny 4th Of July T-Shirt But I will love this same thought. Even if the rate went up there is no possibility of it actually being that rate. There will be monies missing or work expectations expanded upon. Experience teaches you things. For example I have become big on break time(s) this is a non negotiable for me. I interviewed at a place post pandemic that seemed okay until I heard “we have a dozen people and they all agreed to skip lunch so that they may come in late or leave early it’s not expected but everyone does it”. I said nope, I deserve breaks and I require breaks I am not entering an environment where I am the only one who demands break time. I refuse to accept there are twelve people in this office whom all willingly choose to skip breaks week after week, month after month. Huge red flag in my opinion.

I’m a human volunteer content transcriber and you could be too! If you’d like more information on what we do and why we do it, click here! From all departments, why IT/engineering? I do think the Nice will Trade Sister For Firecrackers Funny 4th Of July T-Shirt But I will love this same, but I don’t get it why its IT/engineering. Do they always cheap out that department? Never respond to spam recruiting texts or emails, they are trying to justify foreign visas because ‘they can’t find someone to work’. Honestly, even $6k per month is very cheap compared to actually taking it to a software business and getting them to build it. Once I had someone try to offer me $5000 when my monthly is between $45-65000, then couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t “help them out” when it would “look good on my resume and they would recommend me.” Consulting in video games, specifically for the monetization/retention design of them. Basically I’ll help studios define all the monetization for their game, and design two years of live operations strategies for them. Usually will coach their current game designers how to better monetize their products while I’m there. Thing is to hire someone full time in that roll it’s well into the six figures, so it’s more economical for studios to hire me to do it in a month and just train current designers how to maintain/adjust a strategy. Depends on the game, but for mobile titles very often yes. Gacha systems, loot boxes, events, season passes. All the things everyone likes to get angry about.
