Yea that’s a definite no from me. Wine bottles are sealed so it’s not like they can spit in it because they think you’re a jerk. We just started doing this at work. Come to find out, the Nice missing My Mechanic is my Hobby caring for him making him happy shirt Apart from…,I will love this company has already made a donation, the “donations” we collect are just to repay the helpful company. Seriously. My job forces me to ask if people want to round up for the charity of the month. I get yelled at by my bosses when I dont ask or I get lectured by the customer about their personal beliefs on the subject. All I hope for is to finish my sentence I’m forced to say and to get a simple “yes/no thanks”. I don’t care what you decide to do with your money in that instance, I’m just trying to make my hourly wage. It’s basically become a game of seeing all the ways people can be rude in saying no that this point. This interaction is painful for both of us Whenever I get asked to donate to something, I give a polite smile and say “Thank you, but I have my four charities that are personal to me that get my regular contributions.” It shows you’re not totally heartless, but lets the person know you’ve chosen to donate elsewhere.

Not the Nice missing My Mechanic is my Hobby caring for him making him happy shirt Apart from…,I will love this same as you OP, but I went into a store once and another customer noticed that I was on holiday from the neighbouring country. I went to walk out, and the employee asked if I wanted my stuff, and I said no I’ll go somewhere else where my custom is appreciated. I heard (did not confirm) that big companies that ask for donations while you’re checking out, have already paid said charity x amount and are trying to recoup the amount they paid by having customers “donate”. Then you heard wrong. Donations to charity are printed on the receipt for your taxes. Claiming your donation on their own taxes or keeping the money to recoup their donation is tax fraud, a felony. You think their accountants are going to risk jail?
