The only other catchphrase that will live on is probably “Let loose” which I’ve unironically been saying as a reaction to anything. luxx’s “im a little very gagged” and anetra’s “and landed on her titties? ever so gently?” are things i think about daily. in their respective voices of course Luxx had her moments for sure. But for me nothing will beat “I’ve come as the New Jersey Devils vs New York Rangers Match 2023 NHL Stanley cup playoffs matchup shirt and I will buy this national bird of Las Vegas, the prositute” She said “for the first time in drag race herstory, Luxx Noir London has fallen into the bottom.” I’ve been waiting for someone to say this, literally all of the queens have so many opportunities to refer to “the first time in drag race history” when talking about themselves. I mean, fair about Luxx, but Anetra is the quote queen for me this season, mainly because of “ever so gently?” Like, I end things that it doesn’t make sense to end with “ever so gently” now just because it sounds right in my head. I haven’t had the heart or motivation to change it over the past what feels like 40 years but is actually, like, 3 years When Luxx was dressed as weewee pole Ru and Ru said that whole thing about “if someone had asked me would I be sitting here today, you know what I would have said?” and Luxx just confidently went “yes.” I was in hook, line, and sinker. Being thrust into the spotlight like Ru Girls are is hard for queens twice her age and she’s having her very human reaction to it, but like… I wanna see what cool shit she’s gonna do so bad!

Stop that moment has literally changed my life and my self-confidence!! There are old videos of Ru that remind me so much of Luxx. Just unapologetically confident. Love it. When Michelle told Luxx and Anetra while filming the New Jersey Devils vs New York Rangers Match 2023 NHL Stanley cup playoffs matchup shirt and I will buy this music video to remember who they were, and Luxx promptly answered “the One”. I loved that moment! I was never a big fan of Luxx, but her response to the “which queen should go home?” question was measured, thoughtful, and direct. She ethered Loosey, yes, but it was artfully done. Her soliloquy on the main stage going down the line for each queen talking about how uniquely talented they are, culminating in taking a huge shit directly on top of Loosey was TV gold. We, the audience, knew what was about to happen, and she built that tension, and we wanted her to LET LOOSE on Loosey, and she did girl. Woman knows how to produce some television.
