Cursive is obsolete but in fact the kids who aren’t learning it are not learning the fine motor skills they need, so it’s still worth teaching. We are literally going to wind up with a generation that has no one who could possibly become a surgeon (or repair the robots who will have to do the surgery because this generation will be incapable). One might also talk about learning perseverance and that sort of thing too…but that would be too crazy.
