Steep learning curve but most people are usually able to understand most of everything within 3 years – Current CS Negative reviews are often true but if you have a good attitude, won’t matter. I knew a few unhappy ppl at SSA but yeah. You’ll probably like it if you don’t mind learning – the Mother Earth Every Day Is Earth Day Theme Flowers T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this main gripe people have is that they’re expected to double as CSRs. So I hope your office has it together. I wish you well on your new career journey ? So I’m not sure about their workload. At my WSU we handle retirement, disability, and ssi (welfare) retirement is downright fun, but if yours is anything like my wsu, you’ll handle everything. Retirement, for the most part, is pretty easy, and disability isn’t too bad either. Stay away from SSI unless they require you to do it. It’s not a bad job since you’re at a WSU, and congrats

Second the Mother Earth Every Day Is Earth Day Theme Flowers T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this staying away from SSI unless you want to move up. Then learning SSI as well as T2 would be beneficial as would moving to an actual FO. Like one comment said, steep learning curve specially since the whole training is based on modules. If able try to get as maybe days on site. You will learn much more than being remote. I spent 6 months as a CS, wasn’t bad but I have a better opportunity now as an air traffic controller Congratulations!!! It will work for you. I haven’t found a job yet though the feds but I have interviewed and I feel the same way as you, I want this to be my last job. I want to be able to retire from a fed job. God is good he will make a way. Again congratulations and blessings to you ? ? worked for the fs as a gs 5 field tech for 6 years. These were the best years of my working life. I am currently a project manager but would someday like to go back to being a gs 5. Fs is generally full of poor managers and can be inept at executing their mission. Depends on the suprvisor. Unfortunately all land management agencies, particularly FS and BLM, are political footballs. The immense pressure from both the right and the left to push their respective agendas has led to myriad laws and regulations that are damn near impossible to toe the line on while getting shit done. The priority is trying to accomplish what politicians and their laws demand, while also not getting litigated by one of the thousands of NGO’s whose business model is suing and whining about the govt. The result is everyone is afraid of their own shadow, and decision paralysis is the status quo. Leadership rarely has the background to confidently make competent decisions, because the real experts took easier and better paying jobs. So you end up with a district ranger who was a swan biologist for the USFWS, for one example that comes to mind.
